Who is the founder of Black Rock?
The founder of Black Rock Coffee Bar is Jeff Hernandez. Hernandez came up with the concept of a coffee bar while in college at Westmont.
The 30-year-old entrepreneur is the son of Mexico's richest man and started out his career at night clubs and bars. Hernandez went on to work as a club promoter, eventually opening up six successful bars in Mexico City.

Black Rock Coffee Bar has a brick exterior with low lighting and an eclectic vibe that is consistent with their current menu and items.

Décor:
Black Rock Coffee Bar is anchored by an 8-foot by 20-foot stainless steel bar table. The bar is the most important aspect of the entire store. Designers of Black Rock Coffee Bar wanted a "curated piece of art" to reflect their self-identity. It gives the store a chic, vintage-inspired feel.
The restaurant is also surrounded by an eclectic mix of graphic art, heavy rock and rock memorabilia, and a beautiful mural painted by Timothée Jousse
What is the business concept of Black Rock?
Black Rock is an all-day cafe, boutique, and concept store that sells coffee, tea, bakery items, and a small selection of clothing. They carry organic beverages and their first product was the Greek Coffee.
The Starbucksesque atmosphere allows the coffee bar to work with other brands. In this way, BR works with companies to set up events and manage the brands' products in the shop.
